In fifties and sixties of the 20th century, the institute completed the design for 21 newly-built ordnance factories and technical upgrading of 33 existing ordnance factories among 156 nation’s key projects, and integrated project design of over 100 ordnance factories. The institute has made great contribution for the construction and development of nation’s ordnance industries. With the improvement in modernization of national defense construction, the institute keeps to perfect its design system, to absorb advanced technology from abroad and to introduce and use of high and new technology. The institute has designed hundreds of high quality modernized new projects
